Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the OOMU® website operated by Eldris. By using the site, you agree to them.
Effective date: September 12, 2026
1. Acceptance
This website (the "Site") is operated by Eldris ("Eldris," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About the Site
The Site provides information about OOMU and Eldris. OOMU is currently available as a public beta; descriptions, availability, features, and dates are subject to change. Nothing on the Site is a binding offer or a guarantee of future functionality.
3. Intellectual property and trademarks
The Site's content, design, text, graphics, and the OOMU name and logo are owned by or licensed to Eldris and are protected by intellectual-property laws. OOMU® is a registered trademark of Eldris. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content or trademarks without our prior written permission, except as allowed by these terms or by law.
4. OOMU software license
OOMU is proprietary software, licensed and not sold, and distributed separately from this Site. It is free to download and use, including for commercial purposes. A separate license from Eldris is required for OOMU Control, and for redistributing OOMU, incorporating it into another product, or making it available to third parties as a hosted or managed service. Your use of the software is governed by the license agreement provided with it, not by these Terms of Use, and where these terms and that license conflict regarding the software, the software license controls.
OOMU runs on your Mac and keeps your work there. We operate no service that receives your conversations, documents, or files. The application presents its own privacy notice and its own GDPR and EU AI Act disclosures inside Settings, and those, together with the software license, govern the application. Our Privacy Policy summarizes the same ground.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site, including attempting to disrupt or compromise it, accessing it through unauthorized means, scraping it unlawfully, or using it to violate any law or the rights of others.
6. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party sites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
7. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information on it is complete or current.
7.1 Statements about privacy, data protection, and AI regulation
The Site and our documentation describe how OOMU behaves: what it stores, what it sends, what deleting something removes, and what metadata it writes into the files it generates. Those descriptions are statements of product behavior. They are not legal advice, and they are not a representation that OOMU, Eldris, or your use of either is certified or compliant under the GDPR, the EU AI Act, or any other law. Regulatory obligations depend on who you are, what you do, and where you do it. Assessing them is a matter for your own advisers, and nothing on the Site substitutes for that assessment.
7.2 AI-assisted output
OOMU produces AI-assisted output, which can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it or passing it on. Word and Excel files OOMU generates carry machine-readable metadata identifying them as AI-assisted; that metadata can be removed by other software, and it does not by itself satisfy any obligation you may have to tell someone that AI was used.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eldris will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Eldris is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute relating to the Site will be subject to that governing law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
