Report a bug
Tell us what broke.
This is the tracker, not the contact form. Everything filed here lands in the same list the team works from, in the order it arrives. The more precisely you describe it, the sooner it gets fixed, because a report we can reproduce is a bug we can close.
Before you file
Two things make a report fixable.
- A way to make it happen again. Even “it happens about one time in five” is useful; “it happens sometimes” is not.
- What you expected instead. Half of all bug reports are actually a disagreement about what the app should have done. Those are worth knowing about too, but they get fixed differently.
Filed.
It is in the list. We read every one, and we do not close things quietly. If you left an email address and the report needs a question answered before it can be fixed, you will hear from a person.
Release notes and known issues is where fixes show up.
Two warnings
Do not paste anything private in here.
- This form leaves your Mac. Your work does not. Everything above is typed by you and sent to us, which makes it the one part of OOMU that is not local. Do not paste client material, credentials, API keys, or the contents of a document you would not email. If a bug can only be explained with real data, say so and we will find another way.
- Check the known issues first Some of what you might be about to file is already written down, along with what we are doing about it. The release notes and limitations page is short and kept current.
- A question is not a bug If OOMU is working and you want to know how to make it do something, the documentation is the faster answer, and contact is the way to reach a person.
- Security is a different door If you have found something with security consequences, do not file it here where it sits in a queue with everything else. Use the contact form, put SECURITY at the front of the message, and it gets looked at the same day.
We do not sell your address, add you to a list, or pass your report to anybody else.
A bug you can reproduce is a bug we can kill.
Thank you for taking the time. Most people just close the app.
